Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the services offered by Maple Maid Cleaning Services ("Maple Maid," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Maple Maid governing your use of our cleaning services, website, and related applications.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website, booking our services, or otherwise using our offerings, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.
2. Services Description
Maple Maid provides professional cleaning services for residential and commercial properties in Toronto and surrounding areas. Our services include but are not limited to:
- Residential cleaning (regular, deep, move-in/move-out)
- Commercial cleaning
- Specialty cleaning (carpet, window, post-construction)
- Airbnb cleaning
- Additional services as advertised on our website or agreed upon in writing
3. Booking and Scheduling
3.1 Service Requests: You may request services through our website, by phone, or email. All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by Maple Maid.
3.2 Accurate Information: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when booking our services, including details about the property to be cleaned, specific cleaning requirements, and access instructions.
3.3 Scheduling: We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your preferred scheduling times. However, we reserve the right to reschedule appointments if necessary due to unforeseen circumstances, with reasonable notice provided to you.
4. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
4.1 Customer Cancellation: If you need to cancel or reschedule a cleaning appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the scheduled service price.
4.2 No-Shows: If our cleaning team arrives at your property and cannot gain access, or if you cancel upon our arrival, you may be charged the full service fee.
4.3 Company Cancellation: Maple Maid reserves the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances, emergencies, severe weather conditions, or other events beyond our reasonable control. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice and reschedule at your convenience.
5. Pricing and Payment
5.1 Service Rates: Our pricing is based on the size of the property, type of service requested, and any additional requirements. Current rates are available on our website or upon request.
5.2 Payment Methods: We accept payment by credit card, debit card, e-transfer, or other methods as specified on our website. For recurring services, we may require setting up automatic payments.
5.3 Invoicing: Invoices will be sent electronically to the email address provided during booking. Payment is due upon receipt unless otherwise specified in writing.
5.4 Late Payments: Late payments may be subject to a fee of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance. We reserve the right to suspend services for accounts with outstanding payments.
5.5 Price Changes: We reserve the right to modify our prices at any time. For recurring service clients, we will provide at least 30 days' notice before any price change takes effect.
6. Service Standards and Client Responsibilities
6.1 Service Quality: We strive to provide high-quality cleaning services. If you are not satisfied with any aspect of our service, please notify us within 24 hours, and we will address your concerns promptly.
6.2 Client Responsibilities: To enable us to provide our services effectively, you agree to:
- Ensure our team has access to the property at the scheduled time
- Secure or remove valuable, fragile, or sentimental items
- Inform us of any special handling requirements for certain items or areas
- Notify us of any potential safety hazards in the property
- Ensure pets are secured safely during the cleaning service
- Provide necessary utilities (electricity, water) during the service
6.3 Service Limitations: Our standard cleaning services do not include:
- Moving heavy furniture or appliances
- Cleaning biohazardous materials or severe infestations
- Exterior window cleaning from ladders or scaffolding
- Cleaning ceilings or areas requiring specialized equipment
- Other tasks explicitly excluded in our service descriptions
7. Insurance and Liability
7.1 Insurance: Maple Maid maintains appropriate insurance coverage for our operations. Details of our insurance coverage are available upon request.
7.2 Damage Claims: If you believe our team has damaged an item in your property, you must report it within 48 hours of the cleaning service. Claims reported after this timeframe may not be accepted.
7.3 Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Maple Maid's liability for any damages arising from our services shall be limited to the amount paid for the specific service that caused the damages. We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
8. Confidentiality and Privacy
We respect your privacy and confidentiality. Our Privacy Policy, available on our website, explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using our services, you consent to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Term and Termination
9.1 Term: These Terms shall remain in effect as long as you use our services.
9.2 Termination by Client: You may terminate recurring services at any time by providing at least 7 days' notice before your next scheduled service.
9.3 Termination by Maple Maid: We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or cancel orders at our discretion, including if we believe you have violated these Terms.
10. Modifications to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time by posting the updated terms on our website. Your continued use of our services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.
12. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising from these Terms or our services shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiations. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada.
